Bedlam was Tribe of Fools inaugural production. In an attempt to make friends, a lonely 12-year-old boy named Shelby puts a sign outside of his room reading “Bed for Sale”. When interested parties come in looking to buy the bed Shelby refuses to let them leave. The characters: A hypochondriac, a bookworm, a mad-scientist, Shelby’s older brother, his imaginary best friend and his real best friend – an accordion-playing monkey. The result: Bedlam!
Bedlam was performed created and performed in 2003 by Terry Brennan, Eruch Ernst, Coby Fisher, Dawn Larned, Gwen Rooker and Jay Wojnarowski. Bedlam was created and directed by Matt Roberts. Bedlam was performed at the Arts Parlor in Philadelphia and the Vital Theater in New York City.
