Tribe of Fools presents

Dracula

An original adaptation

On September 2nd, as part of the 2010 Philly Fringe, Tribe of Fools will premiere Dracula. Tribe’s newest original production, Dracula is being scientifically designed to elicit the most fear possible in a live performance. This includes extensive research into the biological triggers of fear responses in the human amygdala.

Due to the methods used, people who are potentially at risk from adverse health effects as a result of being afraid should use caution. All audience members must sign a waiver in order to participate.

In addition to the waiver, audience members are asked to follow a few simple rules.

  • First, turn off all electronic devices. Devices cannot be left on silent or vibrate, they must be turned off. We have sensitive equipment in place that is disturbed by any ambient radiation or network pinging which cell phones, PDAs, and the like produce. Electronic devices must be turned off before entering the theatre. There will not be a curtain speech to remind you to do this. The ushers and box office personnel will remind you as you come in.
  • Second, audience members must take direction from their ushers. The ushers will remind audiences to turn off their devices, they will seat people, and they will remain in the space to observe the audience and attend to their needs. Anyone who refuses to follow the directions of the usher will be asked to leave.
  • Third, there are absolutely no refunds or exchanges.
  • The show is appropriate for teens, but we wouldn’t recommend bringing small children.
